We Built the Team but Forgot About Succession (Ep. 44)

CtrlAltPMO Video Series

Team don’t fail because the playbook is wrong, they fail because nobody is ready to carry it forward.

We launched a full transformation. It included the team, structure, systems, and the whole works. But when the project ended, our work faded.

Why? Because neither the client, nor our team remembers the bench. We did not have anyone to hand over the work to.

Succession required us to not only develop a plan, but also a pipeline of talent.

If there’s no one ready to lead what you build won’t survive long after you’re gone.

Succession isn’t what happens later but rather the work today to ensure sustainable performance in the long term.

What’s one way you’ve built leadership capacity, not just process?

👇 Let’s hear how you’ve kept the work alive beyond you.
